David A. Klement, Artistic Director/Conductor
David A. Klement is the full-time Director of Music at Asbury First United Methodist Church in Rochester where he oversees a growing music program of eleven vocal and bell ensembles.
He received his Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music in Conducting from the Eastman School of Music. In addition, David served as Head Chorister of the St. Thomas Choir of Men and Boys in New York City.
David has studied under Sir David Willcocks, Gerre Hancock, Donald Neuen, and Alfred Mann, and is a founding member of the Carolina Chamber Chorale.
Julie Ruhling, Accompanist
Julie
Ruhling is currently an adjunct instructor of piano at the Rochester
Institute of Technology (RIT). She is also the accompanist for the RIT
Singers, as well as all student recitals and various
guest artist
recitals. She earned her Master of Music in Piano and
Literature from the University of Notre Dame, and her Bachelor of Music
in Piano Accompanying from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She
and her husband,Michael, have 3 sons: Alexander, Peter and Nicholas.
