Boys in the 4th grade or older are eligible to audition for the Concert Choir.

Boys in the third grade or younger who wish to sing in the Training Choir do not need to audition, but are requested to schedule an appointment to meet the Artistic Director.

Auditions last about 30 minutes and are held individually, except in September, January, and June when a special audition night event is held.

The Rochester Boys Choir program, dependent on choir level, consists of one or two weekly rehearsals September through May, at least four formal concerts per year, occasional appearances at various local venues and promotional events, multi-level music theory instruction, performance skills training, fun social events and tours to exciting, distant locations. The Touring Choir boys most recently launched an exciting week long tour to Colorado and Wyoming.

Performances have included appearances with the Rochester Oratorio Society performing St. Francis in the Americas; Welcome Yule, a holiday concert with the Sampler Trio, A Night of A Thousand Men, an evening of all male singing groups at Webster Thomas High School and a service at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in New York City, home of the internationally recognized St. Thomas Choir of Men and Boys and a performance with the National Philharmonic Orchestra based in Washington D.C.

In September 2008, the Rochester Boys Choir will perform in concert with the Rochester Oratorio Society!
